Subscription plans
Free: A$0, with the basic features shown on our Pricing page. No recurring charge is created when you choose Free.
Premium Monthly: A$9.99 per month. Premium Yearly: A$89.99 per year. Both paid options are intended to offer the same Premium feature set, with different billing periods. The exact features available depend on your chosen mode, device and current app version.
No three-day trial is offered by the current website subscription configuration. Any future platform-specific offer would need to be separately disclosed by the relevant purchase provider.
Billing and automatic renewal
When paid subscriptions become available, they will renew automatically until cancelled in accordance with the purchase provider’s terms. Before purchasing, review the checkout screen for your price, renewal frequency, any applicable taxes and the cancellation arrangements.
For supported mobile purchases, billing is handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play as applicable. Direct web billing, when activated, will use Stripe Checkout. The CarbCheckBuddy website is currently in pre-launch mode and does not accept live web subscription payments.
Cancelling a subscription
You can turn off renewal through the provider where you purchased your subscription. In general, access continues until the end of the paid billing period unless affected by an applicable refund, chargeback or provider rule.
Uninstalling the app or requesting account deletion does not automatically stop a subscription. Cancel through Apple, Google or the web billing provider separately if you want future renewals to stop.
Refunds
Apple and Google store purchases are generally handled under the applicable store refund process and Australian consumer law. For direct web purchase questions when web billing launches, contact sales@carbcheckbuddy.com.au.
Nothing here removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian consumer law.
Restore purchases and account access
Where the relevant platform and app release support it, eligible store purchases can be restored or revalidated through the app. A verified subscription entitlement may be associated with your account so Premium status can be recognised on supported devices.
Restoring an eligible purchase should not create a second subscription. If an entitlement is missing or appears incorrect, contact support rather than purchasing again without checking.
Price and plan changes
Prices or features may change in the future subject to applicable law and store or billing-provider rules, including required notice or approval where applicable. A plan will not be switched from Monthly to Yearly or vice versa without an authorised change.
Premium features and third-party availability
A Premium subscription provides access to the features listed for the plan, but some functions may depend on device capabilities, internet access, supported regions or authorised third-party integrations. Features shown in earlier prototypes might not be included in the current release; the app does not provide CGM connectivity or insulin dose calculations.
Paid status does not change the medical limitations of CarbCheckBuddy. Premium features remain support tools and do not replace professional medical care.
Apple, Google and web subscriptions
Store subscriptions are subject to the purchasing platform’s applicable terms and billing controls. Direct website subscriptions, when enabled, are planned to use server-created Stripe Checkout and a secure billing portal.
Web billing will remain disabled until the subscription integrations, required disclosures and launch checks are complete.
