Designed for everyday records — not treatment decisions.

CarbCheckBuddy helps with food, nutrition, shopping, fitness and personal reminders. Optional diabetes tracking is for information you enter yourself; it does not provide medical advice or make treatment decisions.

01

General Wellness and Diabetes Tracking

General Food & Nutrition focuses on food scanning, meal tracking, shopping, fitness, water and daily wellness. Diabetes-related Quick Actions are not shown in General mode. Diabetes Tracking adds optional manual glucose, insulin and sensor replacement records.

02

Manual records, not dose advice

BGL values and insulin amounts are recorded by the user. CarbCheckBuddy does not obtain readings from a connected glucose monitor, calculate or recommend insulin doses, control an insulin pump or provide diagnosis or treatment recommendations. Review saved entries for accuracy.

03

Sensor Life is only a replacement reminder

You choose the sensor replacement date, and the app displays a countdown. It does not connect to CGM services, access live readings, verify that a sensor is functioning or determine whether replacement is medically required.

04

Food-scanning and nutrition estimates need review

Barcode information and AI-assisted meal estimates can be incomplete or inaccurate. Check food identity, ingredients, allergens, portions and calculated nutrition against packaging or trusted sources where appropriate. Do not use an estimate as the sole basis for treatment or insulin decisions.

05

Activity tools and reminders

Fitness timers, step information, water targets, weight records and medication reminders are organisational tools. Device sensors, permissions and activity estimates can be incomplete. Push notifications may be delayed or suppressed by device settings or connectivity; Apple Watch alerts are mirrored from a paired iPhone where supported, not delivered by a standalone watchOS app.

Do not rely on a reminder or notification as your sole means of managing time-critical medication or health needs.

06

When professional care is needed

CarbCheckBuddy is not a doctor, diabetes educator, emergency service or substitute for clinical care. Continue to follow your individual healthcare plan and advice from qualified professionals. For an emergency, contact local emergency services.

No TGA medical-device approval or registration is claimed for the current app. Regulatory obligations are assessed separately by the operator.

07

Privacy, terms and help

Your records can include sensitive information. Read the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Subscription Terms before use. For help with the app or to report a problem, visit Support or email info@carbcheckbuddy.com.au.

Important: Nutrition values, activity measures and user-entered medical records are for personal organisation. The app does not diagnose, prescribe, administer medication or replace qualified clinical advice.
